Sales Representative
Sales Representatives work around the country to promote our mission in their local communities. Responsibilities include booking 2-3 sales/speaking events (in churches, fair trade events, etc) per year, running the events, recruiting and supporting your own volunteers, representing the mission to your audience, and maintaining an inventory of goods (placing orders, storing inventory, tracking inventory).
This is an ideal position for self-starters who are dedicated to our mission and have a significant amount of time to contribute to the organization. Key attributes include excellent organizational skills, experience in recruiting and working with volunteers. Location is your community! Time commitment is generally about 20 hours for each event, including booking, publicity and the actual event.

Marketing Volunteer
Currently, HCJ primarily markets its goods via sales in parishes and churches around the country. The people who purchase our products are excited about their purchases and the mission they are supporting. We need to expand this excitement so we can expand our mission and further support our partners around the globe.
We are looking for creative ways to educate others about fair trade and about HCJ’s mission and partners. Can you help us spread our message?
Location is flexible (Astoria, Queens or remotely from home). Time commitment is 5 to 10 hours/week.
